Sales support

Remote help with lead lists, notes and bookings

List building, meeting scheduling, proposal prep and activity logging are steady tasks that suit a well-briefed assistant.

Where an assistant fits in a sales process

It helps to think of sales work in three layers. An assistant handles the middle one.

  • Selling. Calls, meetings, negotiation and terms. This stays with you and your sales staff.
  • Sales admin. Logging activity, updating deal stages, booking demos, cleaning records, importing lists you own and drafting quotes for approval. This is the part you can hand off.
  • Systems setup. Custom objects, automations and integrations. Some assistants help with small changes; larger ones usually belong with whoever administers your CRM.

Drawing these lines at the start makes providers easier to compare, and it gives you a scope that both sides read the same way.

Logging, cleanup and handoffs

Day to day, the job is mostly logging. The assistant reads the notes, call summaries or emails your reps share and records them on the right deal, with next steps and dates filled in. When a note shows the deal has moved forward, the stage changes. When it is unclear, the rep gets a short question.

Cleanup runs alongside. Duplicates are merged on a schedule, bounced addresses are marked, and contacts who asked to hear nothing more are tagged so nobody emails them by accident.

Handoffs go the other way too. A demo request that arrives through a form gets booked, confirmed and assigned. A pricing request gets drafted into a quote and passed to whoever approves pricing.

Comparing CRM admin options

When quotes come back from different providers, compare how the work will run.

Ask each one how they would handle your first two weeks: what they clean up first, how they confirm bulk changes and how reps will hand notes over. Ask whether the same assistant stays on your account, and who covers when that person is away. Ask what the scope leaves out. A vague answer there often means the role drifts toward selling or setting terms, which should stay with you.

Cost usually depends on how many records need cleanup, how many reps feed notes in, how many tools are involved and how much of the work recurs. You can send a quote request with those details.

Questions about crm and sales admin

Will the assistant talk to our prospects?

Only in narrow ways you agree on, such as sending a demo confirmation or a scheduling email from a template. The assistant does not pitch, answer pricing questions, negotiate or promise terms. Anything a buyer asks beyond scheduling goes to your salesperson.

Can you import a purchased or scraped list?

The work is limited to lists your business owns or has a clear right to use, such as event signups, past customers or your own form leads. Where a list came from and what consent it carries should be recorded at import. Questions about bought lists or outreach rules belong with your own counsel, and the FTC publishes business guidance on email marketing.

Can the assistant book demos on our calendars?

Yes, with delegated calendar access. You set the rules: which reps take which demos, meeting length, buffer time and the booking tool to use. The assistant books, confirms and reschedules, and logs each demo against the deal.
